R+D+i applied to textile development

Research, development and innovation are a strategic axis at Resuinsa and a key lever to promote competitiveness and sustainable growth. Through our own projects and in collaboration with entities such as the CDTI, we advance in new materials, production processes and textile solutions aimed at improving the performance, durability and efficiency of our products, responding to the demands of the hotel sector.

Innovation with real impact

Optimizing the way we work allows us to be more efficient, agile and able to adapt to the new needs of the market. At the same time, we drive the development of innovative solutions that bring greater value and a better experience to our customers.

Cross-cutting and continuous development

Our activity in R+D+i is based on constant investment and a collaborative approach that involves different areas of the company, from production to quality and sustainability. This integration facilitates the incorporation of advances in textile fibers and finishes, guaranteeing their application in environments of intensive use.

Recognized innovation

Our commitment to innovation is supported by the Innovative SME seal, which accredits our ability to generate value through research, technological development and continuous improvement, consolidating our position in the sector.

Have you explored our projects?

Since 2012 we have been carrying out different R+D+i projects through the CDTI, which is the Centre for Technological Development and Innovation. It is a public business entity attached to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, whose main objective is to promote research, technological development and innovation in Spanish companies.

RECOFID

As a result of the CDTI project developed over three years, at Resuinsa we have launched a pioneering model worldwide: a Circular Hotel Economy capable of giving a second life to textiles previously used in hotels.

This model is embodied in “Circularis Collection, Designed to Return”, which introduces a change of focus on professional textiles, incorporating at least 20% of post-consumer raw materials from the outset, from textiles that have already completed their cycle of use in the hotel environment.

Until now, no manufacturer had worked with this type of material in the sector. Unlike other textile waste, waste from the hospitality industry is more demanding, due to its intensive use and the continuous industrial washing processes to which it has been subjected, which directly affects the resistance and the behaviour of the fabric.

This context has required the development of a specific system capable of responding to the entire value chain: from collection in the hotel establishments themselves, through the classification and preparation of the material, to its transformation into yarn and fabric suitable for a new professional use.

The aim has been to ensure that the new product maintains the required quality levels in terms of durability, washing behaviour and consistency in finish, key aspects in the daily operations of our customers.

FRIENDLY-TEX

Our VITA shoes were the first product line to emerge within the CDTI project initiated in 2019 and which marked a turning point in the commitment to sustainability in textiles for hospitality. Its main value lies in the incorporation of fully recycled and recyclable materials, from post-consumer textiles, closing the life cycle of the product and moving towards a more responsible and efficient model.

As its name suggests, VITA represents a “second life” for textiles that would otherwise have ended up as waste. This approach not only contributes to reducing environmental impact, but also drives innovation in the design of products adapted to the demands of the hotel sector, without sacrificing quality, functionality or aesthetics.

In addition to its environmental value, each shoe reflects a clear commitment to the circular economy, encouraging the reduction of raw material consumption and decreasing the use of energy in production processes. In this way, VITA is positioned as a representative example of how the textile industry can evolve towards more sustainable and responsible models aligned with current objectives of waste reduction and resource reuse.

RFID

At Resuinsa, we not only manufacture textiles, but also lead their evolution as pioneers in the adoption of RFID technology in the hospitality textile sector.

Our tags are suitable for industrial washing and are developed with a customized technology that allows us to offer solutions adapted to each business, where efficiency and sustainability are the priorities.

Controlling textiles is a very different strategic urgency depending on the specific needs of each type of customer:

  • Laundries: Their priority is to have absolute control: knowing what goes in, what goes out, avoiding losses and billing with surgical precision. Traceability starts on the first move, not after.
  • Independent or medium-sized hotels: They seek total transparency with the laundry, locate each garment in detail (by floor, area or room) and anticipate problems before they appear.
  • Hotel chains or multi-site groups: They need a panoramic and integrated vision, capable of handling thousands of data points and locations, to make decisions based on real information, not assumptions. Here the software must be robust and scalable, without excuses.

100% of our products with RFID tags leave our factory with the tag integrated, assigned and tested, avoiding errors, speeding up implementation and ensuring the reliability of the system from day one.

Resuinsa Experiences SL has received €200,000 through the Generalitat Valenciana after the investment in new cutting-edge machinery for the textile sector. Amount corresponding to the approved subsidy of the INPYME/2023 call.

It is an aid in the field of industrialization for investments by INDUSTRIAL SMEs in the Valencian Community that improve the competitiveness and sustainability of SMEs, within the sixth phase of implementation of the Valencian industry for the 2023 financial year.

The company RESUINSA EXPERIENCES, S.L., has received a grant of € 34,590.00 in the call for the 2024 financial year, to support the productive investments made by SMEs in various industrial sectors of the Valencian Community, from the “MINISTRY OF INNOVATION, INDUSTRY, COMMERCE AND TOURISM”, the investment we have made consists of the implementation of both machines to optimize the entire cutting process, manufacture, labelling and folding of the garment automatically, grouping the entire production process in them, with file number INPYME/2024/736.
The company RESUINSA EXPERIENCES, S.L., has received a resolution granting the amount of the aid of € 5,557.15, from the call for the 2025 line of aid for International Certification of the “Mentoring and Support for the Internationalization of SMEs” Program 2023 within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) – BDNS Identifier 828096 of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce for the certification project of the products and services of the company in foreign markets outside the European Union, with the aim of opening new markets and increasing the added value of our exports, with file number SDE-REG-25-000000000008136.
